The average carbon footprint for each participating country was calculated. Thus, the average value of the carbon footprint/individual in Latvia was 8.9 tons, in Romania 10.5 tons, and in Turkey 9.5 tons.      The participants planted spring flowers and trees in the school yard. T he manager of the town hall's green spaces, Mr. Teodor Rotaru told them about the importance of trees in reducing the amount of CO2.      After the evaluation, certificates of participation were awarded in a festive setting.

Mr. Dorin Prepelita, a chemical engineer from the water treatment station, presented to the students and teachers what water pollution is and what are the steps that the employees of the station take to clean it up. The engineer explained to the participants how all waste water is collected through the sewage network, how it is purified and the sludge treated, in compliance with national and European quality standards. Also, through a continuous dialogue with the participants, they talked about how water pollution can be reduced.      "Save Environment with 3R's"  2021-1-RO01-KA 210-SCH-000032297    Learning, Teaching, Training Activity 1 Reducing (The first step of sustainability) Day 3-8 March 2023      The third day started with a practical workshop "Reduce-create art and crafts!". Working in mixed groups, the students created different objects (carpets, marigolds, recycled paper flowers and other decorative objects).       Turkish participants also created decorative objects and shared photos and videos of their works on a common link. Through this workshop, we aimed to highlight that we can reduce the amount of waste by reusing it.      Because it was March 8, a cultural and artistic program was organized by the host school on the occasion of the celebration of International Women's Day. She  explained to them the chemical structure of carbon dioxide, what the carbon footprint is and how it is calculated (what exactly is taken into account) and about the main sources of gases with greenhouse effects.       Our students were very interested in why the amount of carbon dioxide increased a lot. "Save Environment with 3R's"  2021-1-RO01-KA 210-SCH-000032297    Learning, Teaching, Training Activity 1 Reducing (The first step of sustainability) Day 1-6 March 2023        The first day of the LTT C1 started with the traditional welcome of the participants and the presentation of the host school.      After that, the partner teams introduced themselves, and the project coordinator detailed the LTT C1 program in a hybrid activity.      The first activity consisted of a presentation with the theme "Reduction - the first step of sustainability" and was in a hybrid format. It started with a brainstorming of the word "reduce".      Through this activity, students learned that reducing consumption is a great way to reduce their impact on the environment. Through free discussions, the students found out what is the difference between trash and waste.       Then some Eurostat statistics on municipal waste were presented, discussed and explained.
