"Save Environment with 3R's"  2021-1-RO01-KA 210-SCH-000032297    Learning, Teaching, Training Activity 4 Energy Saving Fourth day-20th January 2023 The last day started with a recap and fixation of the information acquired during the activities carried out this week. The students worked together and wrote a manifesto letter with the title "STOP WASTING ENERGY", which they distributed online. Students wrote this letter to draw the community's attention to energy waste, the goal being to save energy by using alternative energy sources and to consciously change people's behavior towards nature. The students emphasized the fact that a clean environment is necessary for a healthy life and that each of us contributes a little to the preservation of the environment.   "Save Environment with 3R's"  2021-1-RO01-KA 210-SCH-000032297    Learning, Teaching, Training Activity 4 Energy Saving Fourth day-19th January 2023      The fourth day started with the activity coordinated by the IT teacher of the host school, Mr. Yunus KÖK, "A circular economy for smartphones and electronic devices".       The participants learned what mobile phones are made of. Students learned about the impact of smartphones and other electronic devices on the environment and how to create a circular economy for them.       The students worked in mixed teams and searched online for keywords about smart phones and the circular economy (a quiz game and a genius game). Also, they had to check online 2 truths and a lie about mobile phones.       Thus, they found out that it is true that the so-called "hibernating" devices in homes amount to almost 700 million devices in Europe, that it is true that extending the lifespan of all smartphones in the EU

   "Save Environment with 3R's"  2021-1-RO01-KA 210-SCH-000032297    Learning, Teaching, Training Activity 4 Energy Saving Third day-18th January 2023      The third day started with the interactive workshop "Green Energy", a workshop coordinated by the science teacher in collaboration with the project coordinator from the school.       The activity started with brainstorming about green energy, then they watched some video clips and discussed the causes of the observed effects based on the videos.       Working in international groups, they studied the definition of "Green Energy" from a given text. The students, coordinated by the participating teachers, drew up a list of "green energy" sources.       Then, the students searched online for ecological organizations in their country, then presented them, highlighting their role and objectives in managing environmental issues and preserving it.    "Save Environment with 3R's"  2021-1-RO01-KA 210-SCH-000032297    Learning, Teaching, Training Activity 4 Energy Saving Second day-17th January 2023 The second day started with an interactive presentation on the topic "Energy conservation - a step towards sustainable development", the presentation being made by the physics teacher of the host school, Faruk KİRAZOĞLU.  Students worked in international groups. Each group having the task of identifying ways to save electrical, thermal and mechanical energy in different areas (energy used in heating and preparing dishes, heating water and lighting, using household appliances and transport).  A representative from each team presented their group's ideas about saving energy, and the other students could add new ideas if they had any.
