"Save Environment with 3R's"  2021-1-RO01-KA 210-SCH-000032297  Learning, Teaching, Training Activity 3 -Reusing (The second step of sustainability) Fifth day-6th October 2022 On the last day, the participating teachers and students organized the tour of the activities carried out this week. The students presented to the teachers, students and parents of the school what they did in this LTT (exhibition with the newly created items, a presentation of the activities carried out). Participants were evaluated and then certificates of participation were awarded.

In the "I learned" part, students worked in mixed teams and wrote a collaborative story (narrative) about what can happen to a jar of chocolate.  The students received the beginning of the story: "In the year 2022, there was a jar of chocolate on a supermarket shelf."  The first team had 15 minutes to write the first paragraph, the second team continued and so on until the end. They worked in 4 mixed teams and created 4 acrostics about "reuse". After that, the students presented the results of the questionnaire applied before the mobility.  Thus, the students noticed that in Turkey 66% of the respondents spend in a week between 1 and 5 euros on packaging, plastic bags and disposable materials; in Romania 58%, in Latvia 71%; in Turkey over 55% reuse plastic bags and bottles quite often, in Romania 44% always reuse, in Latvia 66%; in Turkey over 66% sometimes use reusable materials, in Ro 32%, in Latvia over 59%; in Turkey, 66% of their community encourag...

"Zero Waste Latvia" is a movement that brings together sustainability enthusiasts to make life without waste in Latvia a norm, as well as a non-governmental organization founded in Earth Overshoot Day (August 1, 2018) that supports and promotes principles of zero waste lifestyle and circular economy, and seeks to reduce the environmental impact of pollution caused by Latvian society. After that, the teams introduced themselves and the host partner presented the program of activities. Then, the biology teacher Ms. Anda Keruk gave a presentation on the differences between recycling and reuse and then organized a debate on the theme "Recycling vs. Reuse".  This debate was based on a given case study centered on the saying "one person's trash can be another's treasure". The students translated the title of the Erasmus project into various European languages ​​and created a brochure.  Our students' brochure!
